PUPS, people united for a pets sanctuary, is a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization focused on helping low income families spay and neuter their pets and rescuing feral dogs off the streets to rehabilitate them for a future forever home. We work to reduce suffering and the amount of puppies and kittens being born each year. We mainly work in Columbia and Richmond County, but will help where help is needed.
PUPS main focus over the past two years has been helping low income families spay and neuter their pets and educating them on the cost of pet healthcare. Through our outreach program we find people and communities that can benefit from our help.
We do not have a shelter or government funding and solely rely on volunteers and generous donations to keep our organization running. We hope one day to be able to provide the dogs going through rehabilitation a sanctuary where they can run and experience life as a dog should while going through treatment!
The founder of PUPS is proud to represent district 12 of Georgia for the Humane Society of the United States. As district 12 leader she services as HSUS ambassador in our congressional district. All district leaders are at the forefront of the HSUS efforts to celebrate animals and confront cruelty. They try to advance animal protection legislation at the local, state and federal levels.
They say you can't save them all, but we are defiantly going to try!
